Turn your photos into news stories! News Booth lets you create beautiful and convincing images which look like they've been grabbed from a news show, complete with news graphics. Use News Booth to remember and share important events in your life - weddings, birthdays - or just about anything. Post a photo from last night's office party. Or that slightly embarrassing, but hilariously funny, photo of your college room mate. It's all up to you. Insert a photo from your gallery, or use the camera on your device. Choose one of several available themes - go with the modern, big news corporation look, or select a more retro looking design, with graphics from the 70s, or even further back. You can also purchase more themes in the in-app store. To make the end result even more convincing, enter some headline texts to go with your photo. When you're done, save the image to your device's photo library, or share your creation on Facebook and Twitter (for devices running iOS 5 and up) from within the app. ABOUT PHOTOS AND USER LOCATION Many users have wondered why News Booth want to access their location, and we feel it's important to explain the reason. The first time you are about to select a photo from your photo gallery, News Booth will ask you if you wish to allow it to access your location. This is because your photos might include information on when and where the photo was taken. If you allow the app to access this data, you will be presented with a nice, customized list with all the photos on your device. However, if you don't wish to share this information with the app, the default iOS image picker will be used instead. Please note that News Booth does NOT use your location data in any way. It's just that we are required to ask for permission to access it, if we wish to use a custom image picker, which is designed to match the look of the News Booth app. We wish we didn't have to ask for your location data to do this, but that's the way it is. So basically, this is how it works: Allow location access = nice looking image picker Don't allow location access = slightly worse looking image picker
